// about this data
Every result on this page comes from SEC Form 4 filings — the disclosures that company directors, officers, and shareholders owning more than 10% must file within two business days of buying or selling their company's stock. Enter any US ticker to see that company's most recent insider transactions: who traded, whether it was an open-market purchase or sale, the number of shares, and the price.
Open-market purchases (transaction code P) are the most closely watched signal, because an insider spending their own money to buy shares is a discretionary vote of confidence. Sales (code S) are noisier — insiders sell for many reasons unrelated to their view of the company, from diversification to tax planning. Trades made under a pre-scheduled Rule 10b5-1 plan carry no timing signal at all.
The same data is available programmatically through the Form4API insider trading API — real-time webhooks, amendment-aware parsing, and full history. New to Form 4? Start with our guide to reading SEC Form 4 filings.
